I was born and raised in Virginia. My husband Mike and I currently live on the family farm in a county that has no (yes, you read that correctly!), no stoplights.
We have two grown children: Sam who works in heating/air conditioning and who is married to Alice who is studying to be an elementary school teacher and Chelsie, a first-year student in veterinary school, who is engaged to Dylan who works as a chef.
We also have a yellow lab, Buddy, and two little beagles, Josie and Honey, who allow us to live with them.
I worked as a building level public school librarian for 20 years, three years at the primary level and 17 years at the high school level, prior to coming to Longwood to teach in 2000, and I believe that the only job better than being a school librarian is teaching teachers to be school librarians!
